Mr. Kenneth E. Wilson, Sr. passed away Saturday August 11, 2012 at his residence in Bogalusa, LA. He was a retired Sales Representative with LP&L and a veteran of WW II serving in the Navy in the South Pacific. He was a member of Superior Avenue Baptist Church, American Legion Post 24, and the IBEW.
He is survived by his wife Emelda S. Wilson, Bogalusa; his son Kenneth E. (Darlene) Wilson, Jr. of Covington; his daughter Barbara W. Spiers, Bogalusa; his brother Charles(Ruth) Wilson, Oro Valley, AZ; eight grandchildren Debra S. (Tony) Bruno, Bogalusa, O. R. Spiers, Jr., Bogalusa, Joseph L. "Jay" Hall, Jr., Prairieville, Cam Elizabeth Lucas, Prairieville, Joshua (Lindsey) Kalena, Orange, TX, Stephanie (Doug) Clayton, Aspen, CO, Alexis B. Wilson, Covington, and Kenneth E. Wilson, III, Covington. He is also survived by a son-in-law Joe Hall, Baton Rouge, LA; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. & Mrs. C. M. Wilson, his daughter Linda W. Hall, a son-in-law O. R. Spiers, Sr., 3 brothers Woodrow W. Wilson. Norman E. Wilson and James Wilson, 2 sisters Clotilde Blower and Lucille Perrett.
Visitation will be Monday, August 13, 2012 from 5:30 PM until 9:00 PM at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home and will continue Tuesday August 14, at 10:00 AM until service time. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Poole-Ritchie Chapel with Reverend Clay Norwood officiating and interment will be in Ponemah Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony and Justin Bruno, Jay Hall, Kenny Wilson,III, Joshua Kalena, O. R. Spiers, JR., Larry Libert and Rick Adams.
