Ella Mae Pounds, age 67, born on April 23, 1945 in Bunkie, LA, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2012 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Louis Pounds; one daughter, Veronica Faye Mayeaux two sons, Herman P. Mayeaux and Ben Allen Mayeaux; one sister, Elaine Hines; one brother, John Whitten; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by three daughters, Beverly Ann Mayeaux, Deborah Sue Mayeaux and Floda Ann "Pokey" Mayeaux; and her parents, Pres Whitten and Donna Amos Whitten.
Ella Mae Pounds was cremated. Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
